PRIMA Bot

These notes cover every PRIMA Bot Remote Server release up to 2.0.1, newest first. Each entry describes what changes for you.

Released on 15 October 2026, this version updates the README’s description of permission modes. The launcher behaves as before.

  • Permission modes. The README now names default for approving each action yourself, which is the name claude remote-control --help lists. Claude Code also accepts manual as another name for default, as Using PRIMA Bot Securely shows.

Released on 1 October 2026, this version renames the product from claude-remote-server to PRIMA Bot Remote Server. Every installed file has a new name, so an upgrade from 1.0.0 takes a few extra steps, which Updating and Uninstalling lists.

  • New names. The launcher is now prima-bot-remote-server, the settings file is ~/.config/prima-bot-remote-server/config and the log folder is ~/Library/Logs/prima-bot-remote-server. The hidden screen window is now named prima-bot.
  • New environment variables. PRIMA_BOT_CONFIG replaces CLAUDE_REMOTE_CONFIG, and PRIMA_BOT_LABEL replaces CLAUDE_REMOTE_LABEL.
  • Uninstall fix. uninstall.sh now reads the screen window’s name from your settings file, so it closes a window you renamed.
  • Documentation. The README describes the layers, every setting, the upgrade steps and troubleshooting.

Released on 1 October 2026, this is the first release, under the name claude-remote-server.

  • Launcher. It runs Remote Control in server mode inside a hidden screen window, keeps the Mac awake with caffeinate and never starts a second server.
  • LaunchAgent. macOS starts the launcher at login and starts it again 60 seconds after it stops.
  • Installer and uninstaller. install.sh, with --load to start the service, and uninstall.sh.
