Installing PRIMA Project Management
PRIMA Project Management has no installer of its own. The AI Business OS installer adds it, from the prompt in the email you receive when you buy. That installer puts AI Business OS in place first and then copies the PRIMA Project Management files into the same workspace.
Before You Start
Section titled “Before You Start”Check that your computer has each of these tools.
- Claude Code: installed and working, with a Claude plan that includes it.
- jq: the JSON tool the state scripts use. Install it with
brew install jqon macOS, or withsudo apt install jqon Linux and WSL. - git: used for syncing your workspace and for the workspace identity check before each push.
- Node 18 or later: the dashboard and the Today view need it, and no other command does. Run
node --versionin a terminal to check which version you have.
PRIMA Project Management is built and tested on macOS. It may run on Windows through WSL or Git Bash, but Windows is not directly supported. Under Git Bash, /dashboard cannot open the page for you, so you open the HTML file yourself.
Install Steps
Section titled “Install Steps”- Open the email you received when you bought, and copy the install prompt it contains.
- Open Claude Code in the folder you want to use as your workspace.
- Paste the prompt into Claude Code and press Enter to start the install.
- Answer any questions Claude asks, and wait until it reports that the install is complete.
- Run
/setuponce to personalise the workspace with your company details. - Run
/dayto see your first briefing, which lists the three sample projects that ship with AI Business OS and marks them overdue because their sample due dates have passed. Archive them once you add your own projects, for example by saying “archive P001”.
During the install, Claude fetches the product files from git.genaiskills.io with the key in your email. AI Business OS goes in first and creates .claude/state/state.json, .claude/config/integrations.json and the files /setup fills in. Claude then copies the PRIMA Project Management files that the product manifest, prima-manifest.json, lists.

What Changes in Your Workspace explains which of these replace AI Business OS files.
Keep Generated Files Out of Git
Section titled “Keep Generated Files Out of Git”Each dashboard build copies its icon and font folders beside the page, and /day writes two data files in the same folder. The AI Business OS .gitignore already lists .claude/state/backups/ and Documentation/Reports/prima-dashboard.html. Add the remaining generated files to your workspace .gitignore so they stay out of your commits.
Documentation/Reports/prima-dashboard-events.jsonDocumentation/Reports/prima-dashboard-notes.jsonDocumentation/Reports/assets/Documentation/Reports/fonts/Updating
Section titled “Updating”The AI Business OS /update command updates PRIMA Project Management in the same run as AI Business OS. It finds the product through .claude/prima-manifest.json and backs up the current files to .claude/prima-backups/ before it changes anything.
If the update cannot reach the PRIMA Project Management update source, it skips that product with a warning and updates AI Business OS only.
Updates treat files in three ways.
| Kind of file | What an update does | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | Always replaces it with the new release | The state schema, the validation and backup scripts, three of the rules, the dashboard command, template and scripts |
| Other product files | Merges your local edits with the new release and marks any clash for you to resolve. When no earlier copy exists to merge against, it replaces the file and keeps your copy in .claude/prima-backups/ |
Most commands, the project-tracking skill, the other two rules |
| Your files | Never touches them | state.json, integrations.json, CLAUDE.md, your company files and the generated dashboard files |
/update rollback restores the AI Business OS files saved before the last AI Business OS update. Those include the eight shared commands, the state-validation.md rule, the state schema and the backup and validation scripts, so those files return to their earlier versions while the other PRIMA Project Management files keep the update. Contact support through Getting Help before you roll back an update that changed PRIMA Project Management. See Updating Your Installation for the full procedure.
Removing PRIMA Project Management
Section titled “Removing PRIMA Project Management”There is no uninstall command. To remove the product, delete each file in the table under What Gets Installed.
Removal leaves your data in place. That covers .claude/state/state.json, .claude/state/backups/, .claude/config/integrations.json, .claude/prima-backups/ and the generated files in Documentation/Reports/. Delete any of them yourself if you no longer want them.
