Interactions
An interaction records contact between you and someone at a company. Each one has a date, a type and a short summary of what passed between you. Interactions drive the rest of the CRM, because the date of the last interaction decides whether a company is stale.
What Counts as an Interaction
Section titled “What Counts as an Interaction”Log contact with the other side, such as an email sent or received, a call, a meeting, or a proposal you issued. Work you did about a company without contact, such as research or internal notes, belongs in your project files. A log full of internal work makes a quiet company look busy, and the stale list stops telling you anything.
What an Interaction Holds
Section titled “What an Interaction Holds”| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Contact | The person the interaction was with. Required |
| Type | call, email, meeting, note or proposal. Required |
| Summary | What happened, in a sentence or two. Required |
| Date | The date of the contact. The default is today |
| Follow-up date | When to come back to it |
| Follow-up action | What to do on that date |
Every interaction belongs to a contact. The CRM takes the company from the contact at the moment you log it, so the interaction also appears on the company’s profile.
Logging an Interaction
Section titled “Logging an Interaction”Tell Claude what happened and with whom.
Called Aoife Brennan at Harbour Design Studio. She wants to move theSpring Workshop to May. Follow up on Friday to confirm the date.Claude logs a call against Aoife Brennan with a follow-up for Friday. If the person is not in the CRM yet, Claude adds the contact first.
Follow-Ups
Section titled “Follow-Ups”A follow-up sits on an interaction, so it stays attached to the conversation that prompted it. Ask Claude what is due.
Which follow-ups are due this week?By default the list covers the next seven days and includes anything overdue. Each row shows the contact, company, action, due date and how many days overdue or ahead it is. You can ask for a longer window, or leave overdue items out.
When you have done a follow-up, tell Claude, and it marks the follow-up done.
I've confirmed the May date with Aoife. Mark that follow-up done. When you have PRIMA Project Management, its daily briefing opens the Today view, which shows CRM follow-ups that are overdue or due in the next seven days.
Interactions From Other Systems
Section titled “Interactions From Other Systems”An interaction can carry an identifier from the system it came from, such as the Message-ID of an email or the ID of a calendar event, together with the name of that system. The CRM writes only one interaction per identifier. When you log the same identifier a second time, it returns the existing interaction and writes nothing new. Interactions you log by hand carry no identifier, so the CRM never treats two of them as the same.
This exists for automatic sync, which version 1.6.1 does not perform yet.
What You Cannot Do
Section titled “What You Cannot Do”PRIMA CRM 1.6.1 has no action that edits or deletes an interaction once you log it. You can only mark its follow-up done. Check the date, type and contact before Claude logs it.
