Get AI Business OS

Uninstalling

AI Business OS has no uninstall command, so you remove it by deleting its engine files yourself. Your projects, company files and project register stay where they are, because they are ordinary markdown and JSON files that belong to you, and they remain readable without AI Business OS.

  1. Run /sync to commit and push your work, or copy the whole workspace folder somewhere safe.
  2. Close every Claude Code session that has the workspace open.

Do the removal yourself, in Finder, File Explorer or a terminal, with Claude Code closed. The engine’s own safety checks run inside Claude Code and stop Claude from editing several of the files you are about to remove.

These are your files. Keep them unless you no longer want the work they hold.

Path What it holds
Domains/ All your work, including every project folder
Documentation/ and Archive/ Your documents, reports and archived work
.claude/state/state.json The project register
.claude/company/ Your six company files
.claude/CLAUDE.md Your workspace instructions
.claude/config/integrations.json Your integration settings
.git/ Your git history

The full list of engine files is in .claude/engine-manifest.json, under engineFiles. Open that file first and keep it open while you work, then delete it last. The groups below cover the same files.

  1. In .claude/commands/, delete the thirteen command files that came with AI Business OS, which are dashboard.md, day.md, install-pack.md, migrate-company.md, newclient.md, newproject.md, night.md, resume.md, save.md, setup.md, status.md, sync.md and update.md.
  2. In .claude/skills/, delete the seven skill folders client-setup, creating-skills, documenting-workflows, drafting-documents, meeting-notes, processing-pdfs and status-report.
  3. In .claude/agents/, delete document-processor.md and research.md.
  4. In .claude/rules/, delete the ten rule files autonomy-levels.md, blocked-commands.md, checkpoint-protocol.md, content-defaults.md, decomposition.md, engine-protection.md, file-conventions.md, no-permission-prompts.md, pdf-scale.md and state-validation.md.
  5. Delete the folder .claude/docs/.
  6. Delete .claude/FRAMEWORK.md, .claude/suite-registry.json, .claude/settings.json and .claude/state/state.schema.json.
  7. In Infrastructure/Scripts/, delete the eight scripts backfill-project-agents-stubs.sh, engine-guard.sh, install-hooks.sh, migrate-company.sh, migrate-folder-naming.sh, pre-commit-hook.sh, safety-guard.sh and update-engine.sh, and the folder prima/. Keep any scripts you wrote yourself. Then delete the files Scripts/backup-state.sh and Scripts/validate-state.sh.
  8. At the top of the workspace, delete AGENTS.md, README.md, CHANGELOG.md and LICENSE, and the file Documentation/Templates/PRD-TEMPLATE.md.
  9. Delete .claude/engine-backups/ if it exists. It holds the copies saved before each update.
  10. Delete .claude/engine-manifest.json.

Keep .gitignore. It is an engine file, but it stops large documents, media and files holding secrets from entering your git history, and that protection is still useful after AI Business OS has gone. The same applies to .vscode/extensions.json, which only suggests extensions.

If PRIMA Project Management is installed, .claude/prima-manifest.json lists every file it copied into the workspace under workspaceFiles. Delete each file on that list that is still present, including the /timeline command, the project-tracking skill, its five rules, the dashboard template in .claude/templates/ and the scripts in Scripts/. Then delete .claude/prima-manifest.json and .claude/prima-backups/ if it exists.

  1. Delete the prima-memory entry from .mcp.json at the top of the workspace, or delete .mcp.json if PRIMA Memory is the only server in it.
  2. Delete the folder .claude/mcp-servers/prima-memory/.
  3. Delete the folder .prima-memory/ if you no longer want the search index. It is built from Claude Code’s own session files, which stay in ~/.claude/projects/.
  1. Delete the prima-crm server entry from wherever the install registered it, either .mcp.json in the workspace or ~/.claude.json in your home folder.
  2. Delete the folder .claude/mcp-servers/prima-crm/.
  • Open .claude/CLAUDE.md and remove the parts that describe commands, rules and folders you have deleted, because Claude Code still reads this file in every session in the folder.
  • Commit the removal, so your git history records it.

Your workspace is now a plain folder of your own files under git.

PRIMA Scholar is not part of the workspace and is removed separately. See the PRIMA Scholar section.
