What Changes in Your Workspace

PRIMA Project Management

PRIMA Project Management is an upgrade to the project tracking that AI Business OS already has. It replaces several AI Business OS files with its own versions, adds a command, a skill, rules and scripts, and leaves the rest of the workspace alone. Your CLAUDE.md file and your company files keep governing how Claude behaves.

The installer writes these files over the AI Business OS files at the same paths in .claude/commands/.

Command What the PRIMA Project Management version adds
/day A briefing built from your project register, with recommended actions, calendar events and overdue detection. It opens the briefing as the dashboard’s Today view
/night A review of every project touched, which you approve before anything is written, then learning capture and a checked push
/status A full report with traffic lights, category and tag filters, milestones and a check on the product’s critical files
/newproject Optional brainstorming, a duplicate check across every project, numbering taken from your register, delivery dates and optional planning documents
/sync A workspace identity check before every push
/setup A question for the name on the dashboard and a choice of project numbering format
/resume Recovery by project, time or search term, with fallbacks when PRIMA Memory is absent
/dashboard A dashboard built by a script from a fixed template, with ten views

/timeline is new. It draws projects that have both a start date and a due date on a Gantt chart. See The Timeline.

The AI Business OS commands /save, /newclient, /update and /migrate-company stay as they are. /save remains the way to record a deliberate mid-session save, and the automatic checkpoints add to it. /update now updates PRIMA Project Management as well as AI Business OS.

PRIMA Project Management adds five rules to .claude/rules/. One of them, state-validation.md, replaces the AI Business OS rule with the same file name. PRIMA Project Management also writes its own versions of three other AI Business OS files, the state schema .claude/state/state.schema.json and the scripts Scripts/backup-state.sh and Scripts/validate-state.sh. Claude loads every rule file in that folder, and Rules It Installs describes each of the five in turn.

The project-tracking skill handles plain requests such as “pause P012” or “add a milestone to P012”. Claude uses it whenever a request fits, so you never call it by name. Pausing, Archiving and Milestones lists what it can do.

  • Scripts/backup-state.sh copies your register before every change.
  • Scripts/validate-state.sh checks your register after every change.
  • Scripts/archive-history.sh moves session history from earlier months into a monthly archive.
  • Scripts/migrate-to-prima.sh converts a register in the older format, once.
  • Scripts/prima-dashboard/ holds the two Node scripts that build the dashboard.
  • .claude/templates/ holds the dashboard template, the first-run tour text, the Inter font files and the Font Awesome icons.

In AI Business OS 3.0.0 and later, a workspace has a Domains/ folder, and /newproject asks which domain a new project belongs to. In a workspace without Domains/, it creates projects under Projects/. See Domains for how the domain folders work.
